FAQsWebsite Marketing FAQsI can't sell my services on the web, I need to meet face to face with my clients, so how can you help me?For many companies, the objective of their website is to generate qualified leads. If you have a sales team who meet face to face with your prospects you can use a number of strategies to generate good qualified prospects who are ready to buy. Can my website really sell stuff?Thousands of businesses in Australia sell millions of dollars online every day. In 2003 Australian business conducted over 24 billion dollars in ecommerce sales, which was over double the 2002 figures (Source ABS data). How much does a website cost?We can prepare a fixed price quotation to for a website to meet your specific needs. Typically our websites range from AUD$5,000 to AUD$50,000 How does your Website Marketing Program work?Bitemark have developed market leading systems that help us to prepare your website in a way that gets people coming to your website (website traffic), appeals to your customers (generates leads) and helps them to make a decision to buy (sales). Do people really read testimonials? Our data indicates that approximately 11% of visitors visit the testimonials page on our websites. The purpose of testimonials is to build trust with your visits, so even their presence in a website adds a small but important building block of trust. Do people fill in contact forms? It depends. Most websites' contact forms are too long and too complicated. What tends to happen is that busy people leave without filling them out, and the visitors that do fill them out have too much time on their hands! One of our clients experienced a 2500% increase in contacts in 3 months using our website contact form system. Can you get good leads from the web?Definitely. If your offering is good, your website positions your product to the right audience and the conversion process is easy, our experience is that you will generate lots of the qualified leads that you're after. Google and Search Engines FAQsCan you get me to the top of Google?Yes, but the question is where? We will help you to find out how your customers are trying to find you. When we find out what they are searching for, we'll help you to get your website found in Google there. Can I pay Google to put me at the top?Yes and No. There are two parts to the Google search results. Sponsored links appear across the top and right hand side of the Google search results. These have a different background colour and are marked as sponsored links. We can help you to get into these sponsored results with a Google Adwords pay per click campaign. The main search results on the left hand side of the page cannot be bought from Google. These results are computer generated, based on the content of your website. We can help you to get to the top of these results by the way we write your website's copy (the text) and by using simple techniques. The difference in terms of traffic can be 7 to 1 (unpaid vs. paid). What is Search Engine Optimisation?Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are terms that refer to the process of applying techniques to your website to improve their search engine rankings. What is PPC (Pay Per Click)?Pay Per Click refers to advertising systems that charge you for a click on your link instead of the display of your ad (an impression). Probably the best known Pay Per Click systems are Google Adwords and Overture. Web design and web developmentI've heard that the future of the web is Web 2.0Whilst many web developers tout Web 2.0, blogs, RSS, social networking (bebo, myspace etc) and Youtube as the type of thing that you must have on your website, they often fail to ask the question, "How will this generate real business?" Often they can be tools that generate business, but they're definitely not for everyone. Most businesses need to get the basics right first. Should we develop our website in flash?Adobe Macromedia Flash is an awesome tool for many things, but rarely is it good to use to build your businesses website (Unless you're a rock star! Then you can go for your life.) Most flash websites do not follow basic usability principles and that tends to detract from sales. Many web designers use flash for intro splash pages and moving website features. Our experience tells us that these usually distract people from reading the real message that is found in the copy, and that detracts from conversions and ultimately sales. How are you different from other web designers and developers? Most web design companies see your website as being about design. Most developers think it's about bells and whistles. "Search Engine Optimisers" or SEO firms think its about building traffic. The reality for us is it's about all those things, plus more. We see the web for Small and Medium Businesses as a lead generation and sales tool. Our objectives for the websites that we build are visits, and converting those visits into enquiries and ultimately into more sales for your business. All tools, techniques and ideas are subject to that objective. The question that we ask for everything web is, "How will it effect sales?" Design, Branding, Copywriting, Search Engine Marketing (Optimisation), Programming, Adwords etc... These are all tools that we use to achieve those objectives, and that's what makes Bitemark different.
